10 Stiffest WWE Wrestlers Ever

4. Greg Valentine

In terms of look, style, and presentation, you don't get wrestlers like Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine anymore.

More than just a classical technician with outstanding endurance, he pulled no punches, hit hard, and wrapped his submission holds up nice and snug. This helps his classic work hold up better than most. While footage of his prime years is sadly scarce, Valentine's work still looks convincing decades later because he really laid it in, particularly when part with a willing dance partner who'd give him hell back

History has been kind to Valentine, whose reputation as a tremendous worker has only grown over the years. See his famous Dog Collar Match with Roddy Piper (Starrcade 1983) for his ugliest fight. Though unquestionably enhanced by the collars and the chain linking them, this potato-fest owes as much to Piper and Valentine smashing each other in the face as any prop.

In WWE, he had particularly punishing encounters with Bob Backlund in the late '70s and early '80s, but always stood out as a very un-WWE style of worker in the land of Rock 'n' Wrestling, bringing a physicality few of Vince McMahon's other wrestlers could match.
