10 Storyline Moments WWE Can’t Afford To Book

8. The Hurt Business Grow In Numbers

This writer wouldn't have added Cedric Alexander To The Hurt Business.

It's not that Cedric lacks talent. He's obviously skilled, and did need something that'd show he had more personality than other dime-a-dozen stragglers on the books, but diluting MVP's crew isn't a great idea. The Hurt Business don't want to become some 2020 version of the nWo 'B' team.

This is a typical WWE trope. They start something streamlined, run out of ways to keep things interesting and then think that adding numbers will give creative some fresh material overnight. It does, sort of, but at the cost of ruining the original vision. Now Alexander has been added, they should leave it at that.

Dialling in other teased recruits like Ricochet or Apollo Crews would spoil the elitist feel of MVP's ass-kicking club. WWE should stop whilst they're ahead here and focus more on what THB are doing right - watering them down would be silly.
