10 Storyline Moments WWE Can’t Afford To Book

7. The Miz Goes 2010 On Randy Orton

The Miz deserved his push in 2010, and he's waaaaay better than 2020's awkward "comedy" alongside John Morrison suggests. Now he's done playing courtroom clown with Otis and has that Money In The Bank briefcase, Miz could be heading for some sort of stopgap feud with Randy Orton before Edge returns.

It shouldn't happen.

Why? Well, both men are heels for one. Secondly, Miz and Morrison haven't been given that killer heel run as a tag-team that seems so likely when JoMo rejoined the roster. They've been jesters on SmackDown, and hardly good ones. It'll take some serious consistency and build before fans are willing to accept Miz as a credible threat to World Titles again.

Also, Miz cashing in on Orton would be a complete retread of something that happened 10 years ago. WWE need to think of the future, not the past, and they'd make Randy look like a total numpty if Miz fooled him a second time.
