10 Storylines WWE Blatantly STOLE From Other Promotions

4. Goldberg’s Bounty

Triple H Bounty
WWE

Triple H really likes Ric Flair. They were in a faction together, are close friends in real life, and The H-Man even inducted the Nature Boy into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Once he found himself with some backstage sway, Trips wasted no time in copying one of mentor's old storylines almost word-for-word.

During his 2003 feud with Goldberg, Stephanie's husband put a $100,000 bounty on his rival's head. This would have seemed very familiar to fans of the NWA, as Harley Race did exactly the same thing to Flair two decades earlier.

Race's bounty was only $25,000, because of course Triple H had to show off how rich he was.

The Race-Flair rivalry is one of the greatest the 1980s ever produced. As for Trips-Goldberg, let's just say nobody is in a rush to revisit Unforgiven 2003 any time soon.

What's weird about this situation is that Trips had a chance to cast himself in the Flair role. Instead, he gave that honour to Goldberg. Maybe he does have some humility after all... or he just thought that nobody would buy him as a babyface.
