Many believed that The Undertaker's epic WWE career had come to an end when he left his trademark trench coat and hat inside the ring after losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33. It was a poignant moment, but 'Taker would return for more matches before apparently retiring for good following 'Mania 36.

According to Jerry Lawler, WWE legit thought his run was over at 33.

He revealed, via his his old 'Dinner With The King' podcast, that the company transported the gear he'd left in-ring to a roster and staff-only after party elsewhere in Orlando. Typically, some fans did gain access to the party, which meant WWE had to protect 'Taker's hat and coat (this is a real story, folks).

Incredibly, they propped the gear up on a chair and positioned a guard in front of it to stop people from getting too close. It's weird to think that WWE went to all this trouble when The Undertaker wasn't even there.
