To date, there have been 12 WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-views. 96 matches have taken place at the event, including some of the most engaging and riveting contests in modern WWE history. Fans have seen Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks make history in 2016, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens join forces in 2017 and Brock Lesnar finally get dong-revenge on The Undertaker in 2015. All classic moments, I'm sure you'll agree.

At the 2020 event, Elias heroically overcame Jeff Hardy, defeating the Charismatic Enigma via disqualification after Hardy heartlessly attacked The Drifter with his trademark guitar. Okay, Elias had repeatedly attacked Jeff with the axe in the build to the show, but that is neither here nor there.

Nobody is going to remember this match three weeks from now, let alone three years. A glorified TV match, Elias Vs Jeff was just about as forgettable as pay-per-view contests go, up there with other HIAC classics like Sheamus vs. The Miz (2014), Cody Rhodes vs. John Morrison (2011) and Drew McIntyre vs. R-Truth (2009). WWE's roster really hasn't changed much, has it?

Why would anyone want to buy a commemorative plaque of Elias' victory over Jeff? Even the most loyal of Drifter fans would struggle to put forward an acceptable reason for spending nearly £55 on a photograph of Elias.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
