10 Strangest Times Wrestlers Turned Up In Character Outside Of Wrestling

3. Bray Wyatt - Sacramento Fox40 News

When Bray Wyatt returned to WWE with a new, terrifying mask and demented children's show called The Firefly Fun House, some of the Universe was puzzled how a TV-PG show like RAW could have made good use of him without the sponsors calling in outrage.

But 'The Fiend' turned out to be a huge hit, with his branded merchandise reaching #1 on the WWE Shop. Not only did WWE focus on the tormented soul, they even let him represent the company.

One appearance came before the infamous 2019 Hell in a Cell event. Along with the new FOX partnership, Wyatt appeared ahead of his championship bout with Seth Rollins to make an impact on the FOX40 Sacramento news team. Although Wyatt didn't appear in the Firefly Fun House regalia, the character from WWE programming was present. He waved and said hello as he would during the Fun House skits and used his childish vocabulary.

What ensued was almost four minutes of Wyatt exhibiting his split-personality and promoting the upcoming main event, all while causing chaos on the set. And he might have also tried to push non-PC ideas like beating up your enemies and relishing in sweet revenge.

One memorable moment was when Wyatt covered the weather and declared on "Sunday, Sunday [it looked like it was going to]" be a cold day in hell." Imagine your non-wrestling-fan grandmother turning on her favorite weather show to see that. Poor Nanny.
