10 Strangest Times Wrestlers Turned Up In Character Outside Of Wrestling

During their time in WWE, Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage were frequently used in promotional appearances, such as interviews, newscasts, and daytime talk shows. And When 'The Hulkster' and Macho Man arrived in WCW, their immense popularity was utilized in much the same way as it was in New York. Both men regularly appearing on just about any show that welcomed them.

However, WCW was known for making some stranger marketing decisions every so often, such as when Hogan and Savage arrived on the set ofThe Big Breakfast. The Mega Powers toured the UK to help promote WCW and, apparently, a non-toxic cleaner for some reason. During their pitstop on The Big Breakfast, a rather game Macho Man and unusually tame Hogan appeared in multiple segments to discuss wrestling, but the topics often derailed.

But the show's strangest moment came when Hogan and Macho shared a bed with Lily Savage. Paul O'Grady's creation asked questions and expressed an interest in rasslin'. Throughout the bedside conversation, the three got completely off-subject when Hogan related an episode of Baywatch to the situation and played wingman for the Savages. This was somehow all to promote Monday Nitro ahead of its launch on TNT, too.
