Speaking of not seeing things (too soon?) John Cena was another legendary star written off television in 2020 and it's probably fair to say the word 'strange' doesn't cover his WrestleMania 36 conclusion.

After the current global situation completely shook up WWE's original plans, the 'Leader of the Cenation' and Bray Wyatt agreed to move their match into the eerie Firefly Funhouse.

Nobody knew what to expect going into this unique encounter, only that it was supposedly going to be a cinematic experience. That's one way of putting it.

Wyatt dragged 'Super Cena' through the important moments in his illustrious career and forced him to face up to the man he'd become inside and outside of the ring. This included mocking his debut, Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick and showing him what he could have become if he had given into his demons years ago.

Cena proclaimed going into the Funhouse match that this would be the 'end of the most overhyped, overvalued and overprivileged WWE Superstar in existence' and he wasn't wrong. Wyatt's 'The Fiend' finally took advantage of a beaten, vulnerable Cena and 'hurt' him to the point of no return.

Once the match had ended, we legitimately couldn't see him and perhaps we never will again... on WWE television that is...
