10 Stupidest Decisions By WWE In 2003

1. Vince Verus Stephanie

If ever there was an image that just screamed 'sports entertainment'... I'm not above giving credit when it's due and there is no doubt that the McMahons, especially Vince and Steph, have been involved in some truly terrific WWE moments. Too many to name, really. The McMahons just get the business and routinely above and beyond to entertain their audience, which should be commended. What should not be commended, however, is their insistence on being heavily featured in storylines. The McMahons are good in small doses, but when they start taking up too muchTV time (instead of pushing, you know, actual wrestlers) it becomes rather irksome. The whole McMahon family feud was terribly played-out by the time October 2003 rolled around, but that didn't stop WWE from going to the well once more. WWE actually booked Vince versus Stephanie in a Father versus Daughter I Quit match (although Vince changed the rules so Steph could win via pin or submission). Linda and Sable were also involved in a match that saw Vince choking out his only daughter with a lead pipe. Incredibly, the fans in attendance went mental for pretty much everything daddy and daughter did, even if the action was at times incredibly uncomfortable. Smackdown had a very talented roster in the fall of 2003, but many of them didn't make it on the show for this. As for the stipulation that if Stephanie lost she'd be fired from WWE? Give me a break...
