10 Stupidest Reasons Wrestlers Turned Heel

8. Michael Cole - Didn't Like Daniel Bryan

In 2010, mild-mannered play-by-play man Michael Cole suddenly developed an intense dislike for independent wrestling. Specifically, MC couldn't stand the sight of Daniel Bryan, and took every opportunity to jab him for daring to be a vegan who "didn't eat meat" (which, as people know, is kinda' what going vegan means).

This resulted in endless tirades from Cole that got in the way of WWE's product. Not content to stop at browbeating Bryan or cheerleading The Miz, Michael began crapping from an almighty height on other aspects of programming, and it almost seemed like Vince McMahon was trolling his own show by using Cole as his puppet.

Commentary became unbearable at times.

It was also pretty silly that a previously-passionate announcer would randomly cherry pick one piece of talent to bully. Fans knew they weren't going to get a Bryan vs. Cole match out of it, so everything seemed pointless from the start.
