10 Stupidest Things That Ever Happened In TNA

5. 'Four Sides Is Better Than Six Sides'

TNA Six Sided Ring

As legend has it, Hulk Hogan thought TNA's six-sided ring was silly. So, because Dixie Carter would've leapt off a cliff had Hogan deemed it necessary, the company discarded their unique-looking set up in 2010 and returned to a more traditional four-sided 'squared circle'.

This didn't sit well with fans who had been told for years that six sides meant there was more scope for big dive spots and faster action. Suddenly, without much explanation, TNA switched tact and acted like they'd never wanted to use a hexagon-shaped ring in the first place.

Four sides is better than six, brother. It was so silly.

It may seem like a minor gripe to some, but changing the ring without warning was a mistake. TNA's six-sided platform gave them an identity - it set them apart from everyone else in the wrestling world, and fed neatly into the X-Division's 'no limits' style.
