10 Stupidest Things That Ever Happened In TNA

4. Jobs For Old Pals

Changing the actual ring wasn't the only sea change Hogan and company made in early-2010.

During the first few months of that year, many of Hulk's old pals started showing up for some easy paydays on TNA's dime. As ludicrous as it sounds, someone really thought TNA fans wanted to see The Nasty Boys over The Motor City Machine Guns, or WWE cast-offs like Sean Morley beat Christopher Daniels.

Admittedly, some new faces worked. Mr. Anderson, for example, enjoyed a near six-year run with the promotion after signing, and fans were happy to see Jeff Hardy back on TV following his WWE exit the prior summer. Bubba The Love Sponge, The Nastys, Morley and others though? Not so much.

No, TNA wasn't exactly growing at an exponential rate before Hogan brought all his ageing friends along for some fun, but all those "major arrivals" (Mike Tenay's words) directly failed to move the ratings needle either. In fact, they turned some longtime fans away.
