10 Stupidest Things WWE EVER Promoted

9. Hilary Clinton Vs Barack Obama

WWE has laughably sold itself as apolitical in the past, which suits them just fine if you don't look at the subtext of 99% of the storylines they've ever booked and listen to a single word that comes out of an authority figure's (IRL or in kayfabe) mouth.

Having tiptoed towards presidential elections in the past with their supposedly non-partisan SmackDown Your Vote campaigns, they gleefully went in two-footed on the Democrats during an election season edition of Monday Night Raw in 2008.

There - remarkably - the real life candidates John McCain (R) and hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama spoke to WWE fans in video packages designed to drum up support for their causes. After those aired, WWE sent two people out there doing bad Clinton/Obama impressions to work a sh*tty and agenda-laden match that ended when Umaga beat the f*ck out of them both like he was back in 3 Minute Warning and working on Eric Bischoff's dime.

Based on some of 'Easy E's remarks in the past, he'd have probably been on board with all of this.
