10 Successful Mismatched WWE Tag Teams

2016 saw WWE hold its first draft in five years. With Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley chosen as RAW authority figures and Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan chosen as SmackDown authority figures, it seemed that the blue brand would be the more wrestling-centric show of the two.

So it was a bit confusing to see that Cesaro, one of the company's top in-ring performers, was drafted to RAW.

After cutting a shoot promo on the over-abundance of McMahons on the product, Cesaro embarked on a near-interminable feud with Sheamus, culminating in a Best of Seven Series for a "championship opportunity". When their final bout at Clash of Champions ended indecisively, RAW GM Mick Foley decided to pair the two rivals together to earn a shot at the Tag Team Championships.

Though it took them a while to get on the same page, they would finally do so and end The New Day's historic 483-day-long Tag Team Title reign at Roadblock: End of the Line. They have since won a total of four Tag Team Championships together thus far, and remain one of wrestling's best tag teams.
