10 Successful WWE Tag Team Partners Who Couldn't Be More Different

4. William Regal & Eugene

In the space of just a few months at the end of 2004 and start of 2005, William Regal won the World Tag Team Championship twice with two partners who were very different to himself. The first of those partners was Eugene - the kayfabe intellectually challenged nephew of the then Raw general manager Eric Bischoff - who Regal was given the responsibility of essentially babysitting by Bischoff. Regal was self-absorbed, had a high opinion of himself and considered himself to be an intellectual and he couldn't be more different to the humble, innocent and somewhat slow Eugene. Moreover, his technical style was very different to that of Eugene's. However, as Regal warmed to the loveable character, his moves started to rub-off on him and the pair won an unlikely title in November of 2004 against La Resistance (Robert Conway and Sylvain Grenier) on an episode of Raw. Their reign lasted 62 days until they lost the titles back to the team they had won them off at a house show.
