10 Successful WWE Tag Team Partners Who Couldn't Be More Different

3. William Regal & Tajiri

That may have been Eugene's only title win in WWE, but Regal won his fourth tag title (having also won it twice with Lance Storm) when he and an old ally - Japanese wrestler Tajiri - won the titles back from La Resistance on Raw just over two weeks after he and Eugene had lost them to the same team. Regal and Tajiri were so different - to the extent that Regal used to treat Tajiri as his servant - in background, appearance and style. Although they were both gifted technical wrestlers, their in-ring performances were visually very different. Regal was slow and steady while Tajiri was quicker - owing largely to the fact that, at five foot eight inches tall, he was a good seven inches smaller than Regal. Their reign lasted 85 days before they lost the titles to the superhero team of Hurricane and Rosey at Backlash 2005. The match was a tag team turmoil match that also involved La Resistance, Simon Dean and Maven, and the Heart Throbs (Romeo and Antonio).
