5. Mr. Perfect
WWE.comThroughout the bulk of his career, Curt Hennig lived up to the name he adopted during his time in the WWE. He was perfect, and he will forever remain a legend in WWE circles. But unfortunately, his final run with the company was anything but perfect. It could have been so different - and it should have been so different. When the WWE announced Perfect as a surprise entrant in the 2002 Royal Rumble, the arena went nuts. He got a great pop when emerging to take his spot in the match, and he actually ended up being one of the final three men involved in the contest. That should have set the tone for a nice run with the company, but instead, Mr. Perfect's last stint was a bit of a mess. For some reason, whoever was booking Perfect decided it would be great to have him lose in almost every single match he competed in. Shortly after the Royal Rumble - with the crowd still excited about his return - they had him lose to Kane. And it wasn't just any old loss; they had him lose clean. That was no way to treat a guy who had delivered such a strong showing at one of the biggest pay-per-views of the year, but it mattered little. Hennig's days with the WWE were soon to be numbered once again, and he would ultimately leave the company after an infamous confrontation with Brock Lesnar on the "Plane Ride From Hell".
