An inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, Booker T worked his way up from an opening match tag wrestler to a bona fide main event star through his solid in-ring work and charisma. Booker T had a legendary career as one of the most successful tag wrestlers of all time and retired while still in good health and spirits. However, things were not always as bright and shinny for Booker Huffman. The youngest of eight children growing up in the projects of Houston, Booker lost both of his parents before he turned 15 and had to turn to his brother, Lash "Stevie Ray" Huffman for guidance. Lash tried to steer his brother down the correct path but the influences surrounding Booker were too much for him to handle. Booker ended up getting a job at a Wendy's in Houston and he, along with other several other co-conspirators, robbed several of the restaurants while wearing their Wendy's uniforms in 1987. If this sounds like the stupidest idea in the world, that's because it is. Police immediately expected that this was an inside job due to the fact that gunmen were wearing the uniforms of the restaurant they were robbing. Booker was arrested shortly thereafter and pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery and was sentenced to five years in prison. After serving about two years in the clink, Booker was released and placed on probation until 1992.
