10 Superstars With Pasts They Want You To Forget

6. Sid Vicious

Sid was not someone who could ever be thought of as a great technical worker. For a wrestler, he made one heck of a softball player. But, for whatever reason, audiences loved the big man and he got a huge crowd reaction wherever he went, thus cementing his spot in professional wrestling for the better part of 15 years. However, his incident with Arn Anderson in the early 1990s nearly cost Arn his life and Sid his wrestling career. On October 27, 1993, World Championship Wrestling was involved in an overseas tour of the United Kingdom. Sid had just recently resigned with WCW after a main event feud in the WWF with Hulk Hogan. To say Sid's ego was a little out of control would be an understatement. Reportedly, Sid was running his mouth about how he was the new face of WCW and how all the old timers (Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, etc.) should stay out of his way. Apparently, Arn Anderson didn't take too kindly to this and called out Sid on his trash talk. Unfortunately, things got much worse from there. Back at the hotel, Sid Vicious burst into Arn Anderson's room and brutally attacked the veteran with a pair of scissors. Vicious stabbed Anderson twenty times in the chest and stomach, covering the hotel hallway with so much blood that people had a hard time believing anyone could survive it. Blood covered the walls and the floors of the hallway, resembling a horror movie and sending Arn to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Arn managed to stab Sid two times in self-defense but the real damage had been done. Thankfully, Arn survived his ordeal with Sid and Vicious was immediately released from his lucrative WCW contract.
