Kevin Owens Neck Injury 2025

There were tears in the eyes of fans when Kevin Owens announced that he'd have to step away from a scheduled WrestleMania 41 bout vs. Randy Orton due to serious neck issues. Joe Hendry subbed in for him to keep some happy, but losing KO for as long as WWE has...sucks.

One thing Owens didn't lose during his layoff was that self-deprecating sense of humour. You know you're always going to get that from Kev when firing up his socials, and it's heartwarming. Even so, attention has been turning from, 'Oh, KO had surgery' to, 'Oh, when will KO be back?' for a while now.

The nature of his injury means everything is delicately poised. That neck problem was serious and needed urgent attention, and it's definitely more important that Kevin is healthy and happy than performing inside WWE rings. People yearn to see him do his thing again though, and they will until the stunners or pop-up powerbombs flow.

It's touch and go whether or not Owens can hit any moves or take any bumps, but it'd just be nice to see him on the Raw after 'Mania 42 regardless - even if he's just in a non-wrestling promo role for a bit. WWE's product needs guys like Kev, because he pays close attention to the finer details more than most.

Fingers crossed he isn't too far away.
