10 Superstars Who Have Wrestled In The Most WWE PPV Matches

8. Edge

PPV Matches = 127 Quite like his best friend and former tag-team partner Christian, Edge also makes it onto the list. However as has been the case for most of Edge and Christian€™s careers it€™s The Rated-R Superstar who has come out on top again, defeating his fellow Canadian by 27 appearances. As was already mentioned Edge had a number of memorable PPV matches alongside his tag-team partner during the earlier part of their time with the WWE. However unlike Captain Charisma, Edge had a much more successful career as a singles competitor. His first big break into the WWE Championship picture came at WrestleMania 21, when Edge won the first ever Money in the Bank ladder match, then nearly a whole year later at New Year€™s Revolution he cashed in his contract to defeated John Cena and win the title for his first ever time. This title reign didn€™t last long for Edge, as Cena would claim back his title that same month at the Royal Rumble, however this then freed Edge up to give Mick Foley his long awaited WrestleMania moment in a Hardcore match which stole the show at WrestleMania 22 and saw the Rated R-Superstar spear Foley through a burning table. Edge would have a few more big PPV moments throughout his career including two more WWE Championship wins at Survivor Series in 2008 against Triple H and Vladimir Kozlov and at the 2009 Royal Rumble, defeating Jeff Hardy in a no-disqualification match. He also got the unfortunate privilege of getting to be The Undertaker€™s 16th WrestleMania victim of The Streak at WrestleMania XXIV.
