8. Abyss Steals Christian Cage's NWA Title
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsZCdiWQyV0 For those unfamiliar with TNA, Abyss is one of their longing-serving members of their roster, still wrestling today after 13 years with the company. He's also basically the cross between Kane and Mankind, long shaggy hair hanging over a creepy mask that obscured much of his face. He's been everything from schizophrenic (with entirely split personalities) to goofy to unstoppable monster. During 2006, he also spent a month with a title that didn't belong to him. At the Lockdown PPV of that year, Abyss faced off against Christian Cage (yes, the one true Captain Charisma himself) for the NWA Heavyweight title in a Six Sides of Steel match - basically a cage match, except TNA's ring has six sides at the time, because why not. Though Abyss lost the match, he would attack Cage after the match and walk off with his belt. Throughout the following month Cage tried to get the belt back, but Abyss was in full monster mode and refused to give it up. Instead, he forced Cage to face him at the following PPV, Sacrifice, in a Full Metal Mayhem match (basically TLC). Cage won and the belt was finally returned to him.
