As incomprehensible as it seems nowadays, from 2006-2007, The Great Khali was a big deal. He beat the Undertaker in decisive fashion on PPV, won the World Heavyweight Title and, at Judgment Day 2007, battled John Cena for his WWE Championship. During that PPV, The Great Khali went into the match carrying the belt over his shoulder. Two weeks earlier on RAW, the Punjabi Giant had strolled down to ringside and taken John Cena's title while he was in the ring. When Cena pursued him up the ramp, Khali turned and clocked him with the belt, standing over his prone body and raising the title over his head. The next Monday, Cena attempted to retrieve his belt, attacking Khali backstage, but was again decimated, slammed against shutters and backstage equipment. Despite The Great Khali's many, many, MANY in-ring shortcomings, at least he cuts the intimidating figure of someone who could not only steal anything he wants, but be vicious enough to stop others from retrieving their rightful property.
