10 Superstars WWE Completely Wasted

10. The Original Sin Cara

Sin Cara's WWE tenure was dogged with problems from the start. Allegedly, the former CMLL World Welterweight Champion made no effort to learn English, refused to adapt to WCW style, and "carried himself like a star," which didn't endear him to WWE's brass or superstars. Before long, he was suspended for failing a drug test - and then the injuries started mounting up.

While Sin Cara's attitude problems may very well have been true, the company still burned millions by refusing to reach some middle ground with the most popular Mexican star in a generation. As Mistico, he captained a boom period for CMLL and lucha libre, and that's what drew WWE to him as early as 2007. If he carried himself like a star, it was because he was one.

Had WWE been willing to put its muscle behind a superstar who didn't cut promos in English and whose matches were a bit different than those on the rest of the card, the sky could have been the limit.
