10 Superstars WWE Creative Have Completely Abandoned

7. Goldust

Goldust Monday Night Raw
WWE

The Goldust comeback tour has been cut short. Really, WWE, your grand plan to take the character back to his origins was one measly feud with R-Truth that barely even blew off? Though true that Goldust is hardly a priority character these days, he does deserve more than that.

Despite playing heel on TV, Goldust has appeared as a babyface for select matches on the European house show tour in November. The more this happens, the more clear it'll become that WWE's writers have given up on the reboot entirely. This is just another knee-jerk reaction from a company struggling to decide between pushing new stars and relying on the past.

It's not Goldust's fault that he's coming to the end of his career. He wasn't the one who penned endless promo segments on Raw showing a return to his Hollywood roots. A brief feud with ex-tag partner Truth was not enough to keep that character going.
