10 Superstars WWE Creative Have Completely Abandoned

6. Mojo Rawley

When Mojo Rawley won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal during WrestleMania 33's pre-show, it looked like a sure sign that creative had his back and would attempt a push in 2017. That hasn't happened, and Mojo has found himself becoming less and less of a presence on SmackDown as the year has progressed.

It must be frustrating for Rawley to watch Jinder Mahal, the guy he lastly eliminated at 'Mania, go on to become WWE Champion when he's doing nothing. His tag-team with Zack Ryder is up in the air too. The Hype Bros were once a safe bet to become SmackDown Tag-Team Champions, but Ryder's injury problems curtailed the duo's momentum and left Rawley on his own.

The goofy, slightly irritating 'hype' Mojo speaks of is grating at times, but it is a character he quite clearly feels comfortable playing. Perhaps something happened behind the scenes that fans haven't been made aware of. There has to be some explanation why a man threatening the upper card has disappeared.
