10 Superstars WWE Creative Have Completely Abandoned

4. Rusev

Knowing Rusev's luck, current on screen pal Aiden English will go on to become WWE Champion in 2018. We're kidding, of course, but nobody could have foreseen Jinder Mahal doing the same when he was teaming with Ru-Ru on Raw last year. Rusev must wonder what he's missing, because WWE refuse to push him properly.

Every now and then, the Bulgarian is called upon to feud with someone higher up the card like John Cena or Randy Orton. Once he puts them over, it's back to battling the glut of other mid carders for TV time. For a man so obviously talented and skilled, it's a nightmare. The English situation feels like Groundhog Day for Rusev.

Rusev is approaching four years on the main roster, and he is actually further away from the main event scene than he was in 2014. Creative are to blame for that. They've meddled with his character and spoiled every interesting feud Rusev has been involved in. Moving to SmackDown earlier this year was supposed to help him.
