Just look at Bobby Lashley.
It is one of the most baffling things in WWE history that they struggled to get Lashley over for such a long time. Just look at him. The man looks like he is carved from stone, has a legitimate wrestling background and a dominant MMA record. Yet when he returned in 2018, they stuffed him in so many ridiculous storylines, his aura diminished completely.
But just look at him.
In 2020, WWE finally binned off the horrendous alliance with Lana and went back to the (TNA) well by aligning him with MVP. It's not a stretch to say that MVP saved Lashley's WWE career.
With the smooth-talking MVP doing the talking, Lashley did the business in the ring and began a dominant reign as the WWE US Champion and helped form the Hurt Business. That momentum continued into 2021 where Lashley, nearly sixteen years after his first WWE appearance, finally won the WWE Championship.
WWE finally got behind him, treating him like the dominant force he truly is and making him one of the more credible heel champions in recent memory. Since losing the belt, he's been booked in a silly feud with Goldberg but there is no denying that this year, WWE have worked wonders in making the All Mighty a true main event player.
