It's probably slightly too early, if we're totally honest, for Kairi Sane - who announced herself earlier this year by winning the Mae Young Classic - to be promoted to the main roster.

But, then again, appearing in the Royal Rumble and being promoted to the main roster aren't necessarily synonymous. If legends who haven't been a full-time part of the WWE roster for the best part of a decade are allowed to show up for one night only, then surely of the stars of tomorrow should too.

After all, no Rumble match is really complete without a relative unknown quantity surprising the rest of the locker room by punching well above their weight on one of wrestling's biggest stages.

It would help put over the idea that Sane is a force to be reckoned with going forward, and function as a reward of sorts for her performances in the aforementioned tournament, of which she was the clear breakout star as well as the kayfabe winner.
