10 Surprises WWE Could Pull At Extreme Rules 2018

6. A Fortuitous Victory

This feud is the drizzling s***s.

Braun Strowman, the most naturally over wrestler on the roster, has been booked like a bully. Kevin Owens has been flung from a ladder, had his car overturned, and been locked in a porta-loo then charged off the stage, emerging covered in blue gloop. Braun has the potential to be this generation's Hulk Hogan, but instant, 'Mr. Monster In The Bank' is coming off like a comic book bully, and though his popularity remains, this presentation doesn't flatter him.

The same goes for Owens, who is constantly seesawing sociopathic winner and cowardly loser. It's impossible to take him seriously at the moment, so deep are his character's inconsistencies. Yes, he's charismatic, and yes, we all want to see him do great things, but how do you invest in a performer who doesn't believe his own scripted bulls***?

The storyline should conclude at Extreme Rules, and it probably will. Still, there's every chance WWE could have KO score a fluke victory. Strowman could throw him into the cell wall, with the force snapping its bindings, sending 'The Prizefighter' tumbling to the floor, and just like that, the feud must continue...
