10 Tag Team Wrestlers Who Left Their Partner For Better Things

5. Jeff Hardy

Tag Team: The Hardy Boyz The Hardy Boyz were once quite an innovative pair and created their own backyard company which they dubbed the Trampoline Wrestling Federation. After their dad bought the pair a trampoline, they carved down four small tree stumps, wrapped a garden hose around them and just like that, they were in business. The brothers even made a belt out of cardboard for the reigning champion. Sure, it wasn€™t Madison Square Garden but it was a creative place to start. They progressed onto a second company entitled OMEGA Championship Wrestling which got the pair noticed. Once signed with the WWE the Hardy Boyz hit the ground running and became instant fans favourites due to their high flying, risk talking manoeuvres. The style of show that the WWE were producing at the time of their debut really suited the team€™s style and allowed them to recapture the non-precautious performances that got them noticed in the first place. The pair became renowned for attempting brave hazardous moves that many others wrestlers wouldn€™t, often involving a twenty foot ladder. When the pair went their separate ways Jeff Hardy solidified himself as a main event wrestler and beat two of the biggest names in the business, Triple H and Edge in a triple threat match to finally become the WWE Champion. Matt had success too but never went beyond the middle of the card, holding both the European and United States titles. Both their careers were subsequently heavily affected by drug habits. Jeff Hardy had multiple suspensions due to failed drug tests, whilst Matt just started making weird YouTube videos about grapes.
