10 Tag Team Wrestlers Who Left Their Partner For Better Things

4. Booker T

Tag Team: Harlem Heat Booker T made his debut in WCW as one half of Harlem Heat, his partner within the tag team being his older brother, Stevie Ray. It is probably fair to assume that leaving your teammate becomes more personal when they send their Mother€™s Day cards to the same address you do. In fact, Booker confirmed in an interview that the pair were not on talking terms for a lengthily five or six years prior to Ray€™s induction of Booker into the 2013 Hall of Fame. The Harlem Heat were dominant throughout their time in the WCW. The brothers held the titles a record ten times during a five year period and had some great feuds with the likes of The Outsiders and The Steiner Brothers. However, in recent years they have become more associated with an old backstage clip of the duo that resurfaced and went viral, in which Booker T awkwardly calls Hulk Hogan the N-word mid-interview. Stevie must have been completely bemused, wondering how his little brother even managed to steal the limelight within the team€™s biggest blunder. Needless to say, Booker T achieved a great deal as an individual competitor; becoming a Triple Crown champion on both WCW and WWE. Booker T was also one of very few WCW stars that had moderate success with the WWE after McMahon bought out the company. Unfortunately Vince chose not to sign Stevie Ray, and his presence disappeared with WCW.
