Much has since been made of The Miz's initial unpopularity in the WWE. He was unquestionably the black sheep of the locker room, bullied by far more established figures such as JBL and Chris Benoit due to his brash nature and reality show background. His most infamous punishment came for a relatively minor crime - accidentally spilling chicken crumbs into Benoit's gym bag - as he was forced to change outside of the locker room for many months, instead using arena bathroom stalls or backstage corridors. The torment endured by The Miz has since been publicly acknowledged by the WWE and accepted as part of his kayfabe history, most notably in the pre-match hype video for his WrestleMania 27 main event against John Cena. Unlike many on this list, Miz was fortunate enough to overcome his backstage issues and make the most out of his once-endangered career.
