An amazing wrestler and absolute perfection on the mic, Alex Shelley was misused by TNA for so long. Starting out as Babybear Alex Shelley, he was misused as a lackey for Goldilocks. The Paparazzi Championship Series was the first time Alex Shelley got to truly shine. His interactions with Lethal, Dutt, Aries, and Nash were some of the funniest segments TNA has produced. It took, what some would call, far too long before Shelley was used greatly as one half of multi-time Tag Team Champions, The Motor City Machine Guns alongside Chris Sabin. Shelley may be small, but that has never stopped a wrestler before. Chris Sabin went on to become World Champion and Austin Aries was the prime example of what could have been Alex Shelley. TNA had a star in Shelley, an Austin Aries/CM Punk like personality with the in-ring talent to match. Shelley won the X-Division Title but never had that much more success as a singles star. This is one wrestler whose in-ring talent and personality was wasted for so many years in TNA. He deserved better.
