10 Terrible Booking Decisions From WWE Survivor Series 2016

3. Kane? Really?

The Big Red Machine is an awesome character and has stood the test of time alongside his “brother” as a performer who has been able to adapt to several different eras while maintaining his relevance and popularity. I’m a big fan of the character and the man behind the work, but I just don’t understand why he’s still decisively beating promising talents like Luke Harper in late-2016.

If I were WWE I would have gone with another Raw vs. SmackDown match in this spot and rather than have Harper – someone who BADLY needs some momentum – lose to Kane, I’d pit the Wyatt Family member against Raw’s representative of Rusev.

That would have given us a match that added to the brand vs. brand stakes while matching up two competitors that we haven’t seen wrestle a thousand times. Plus it gives us the benefit of adding to the brand superiority stakes while also blessing us with more Rusev, which is always good thing.
