10 Terrible Booking Decisions From WWE Survivor Series 2016

2. Charlotte Vs. Bayley: Too Soon?

WWE has definitely exhausted the Charlotte/Sasha Banks program – at least for a while – so it was time to build up a credible contender for the women’s champion. With Charlotte knocking it out of the park as a heel, she needs a strong babyface to oppose her.

Unfortunately for Raw there aren’t many options and they decided to pull the trigger on making Bayley the challenger. While that feud has the potential to be excellent, it just feels a bit too soon. Bayley and Charlotte should be something that they hold off on until WrestleMania, with Bayley getting her big win on the grandest stage of them all.

She either has to beat Charlotte and face Sasha at 'Mania, in which case her title win won’t have the same impact, or she has to continuously lose until someone else takes the belt off Flair and then beat that person on the big show. Regardless, it would have made more sense to give Charlotte a placeholder feud to fill the time until 'Mania season kicks off.
