10 Terrible Wrestling Matches You MUST Watch!
9. Enzo Amore vs. Sylvester LeFort (NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way)
Carmella's introduction to WWE television was more akin to something one might expect from NXT 2.0, not the developmental brand's previous incarnation. Presented as a hairdresser working in a beauty salon, she ended up losing her job when Enzo Amore and Big Cass dropped hair removal cream on a poodle, which was used to transition her into a full-time role. The Realest Guys in the Room owed her one, so she became a wrestler.
A most natural career progression.
This went down in parallel with Enzo and Cass' feud with The Legionnaires, Sylvester LeFort and Marcus Louis, culminating in this hair vs. hair match at TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way. The whole storyline is worth revisiting as a ludicrous piece of foreshadowing for what NXT would eventually become, though the match is an ironic popper in isolation too.
Built primarily around Amore, a woeful wrestler at the time, working over LeFort's hair (!), it brought the expected babyface victory but no real comeuppance for LeFort, who fled before he could meet the same fate as the aforementioned poodle. Louis took the bucket of cream in his tag team partner's absence, embarking on a bewildering run as a gurning, rafter-lurking creep in the aftermath, gone insane through his newfound hairlessness.
It's one of the most disgusting and tasteless portrayals of the bald community ever committed to tape.
