"As of this writing" should be the caveat for several wrestlers on a list like this, but perhaps none more so than for Tammy Sytch. Things looked pretty bleak for the former Sunny during the last correspondence she had with fans - specifically because news came from a hospital bed.

The WWE Hall Of Famer reported that;

Hey everyone. Just wanted to update you all on why I haven’t been online. I’ve been in the hospital since last Saturday, sick since a few days before that. I thought I would have been discharged by now, but things keep coming up that need testing and I may be having a procedure. I’ll probably be here for a few days more, while they try and diagnose every issue. Please respect my privacy at this time… and I appreciate your support. These details will be kept private, but they are long-time nagging issues that need to be dealt with and fixed so I can stop coming back in pain every 18 months or so. Thank you again… I’ll update you on my progress once I know more.

A follow-up comment suggested it might be related to her gall bladder, but this specific health issue would be far from the first she's had to face since dipping out of the mainstream wrestling limelight in 2000.

Known as somebody with the alleged and dreaded "demons" at the height of her industry fame, Sytch's physical and mental wellbeing has undulated in the last 20 years, but the path of least resistance in her post-wrestling life has never seemed straightforward.
