One of the surprise hits of Double Or Nothing was the six-woman tag team match featuring some of Japan's best and brightest female talent.

Hikaru Shida, Riho Abe, and Riyo Mizumani were victorious over the team of Yuka Sakazaki and legendary performers Emi Sakura and Aja Kong.

The match - allegedly the passion project of Kenny Omega - was very well-received by the audience in the MGM Grand and those who were watching at home.

Whilst the Joshis (Japanese female wrestlers) made quite an impact at Double Or Nothing, only Shida and Riho are officially signed with AEW. This is a huge shame, as there is clearly a lot of promise in these performers and, from a business perspective, a lot of money to be made from them too.

Whilst Aja Kong and Emi Sakura are unlikely to sign full-time with a US-based promotion, the other participants in the match could easily be convinced to move stateside.

AEW have a golden opportunity to become the premium American showcase for Japanese female talent, in much the same way that ECW was the first major American wrestling promotion to bring in luchadors from Mexico in the '90s.

The wrestling is great, the fans want to see it, and there's profit to be had. It's a win-win really.
