10 Things CM Punk Revealed In Colt Cabana Interview Part 2

7. He Won't Come Back For A WrestleMania Main Event

One of the main themes of his complaint in the first podcast is that he felt disrespected because he was never given a main event on the biggest show of the year. CM Punk is a guy who has an astronomically inflated opinion of himself, warranted or not, and he felt that he deserved to close a WrestleMania, especially when he was at his hottest point. Cabana said that a lot of the fan questions where about whether or not he would return for that elusive main event spot, and Punk told a story about The Doors performing on The Ed Sullivan Show, defying the instructions to change the lyrics to avoid offending the audience. He said that they had the chance to put him in the match when he was there, but that the ship had sailed. He did add the disclaimer of never say never, but seems as positive as anyone could be that he will never work there again, regardless of what prestigious position they offer him.
