Randy Orton and his father, Bob own a unique distinction. The two were the first ever father-son duo to ever be named Pro Wrestling Illustrated Rookie of the Year. Just this past year, Tim Zbyszko was named Rookie of the Year, which made he and father Larry the second pair to achieve the feat. In doing so the two sets of father-sons became the only family members ever to both win the awards. It's worth noting that the Zbyszko family won their awards 39 years apart, while the Orton's managed to win just 29 years apart. Needless to say, Randy Orton has a bit of a head start on the younger Zbyszko. Randy Orton is also the last winner of the award to go on to win the WWE, WCW, or World Heavyweight title, and is one of only six winners to ever win the WWE title.
