10 Things You Didn't Know About Randy Orton

6. He Was Booted From The Marine 2

As if his offenses and subsequent prison time stemming from his career as a Marine weren't bad enough, Orton's past continued to haunt him even 13 years later. During the mid-2000's, WWE Studios began, often using films as a vehicle for WWE Superstars to branch out into the movie industry. While the company didn't have any box office smash hits, but still served the brand well, giving stars such as John Cena, Triple H, Big Show, Edge and The Miz opportunities to show off their acting chops. In 2012, a follow up to John Cena's financially successful film "The Marine" was set for production, with Orton slated for the main role. However due to major outrage from former Marines about Orton's negative association with the USMC, Orton was pulled from production, and replaced with Ted Dibiase Jr. The WWE also issued a public apology regarding the situation, admitting that it would have been inappropriate to leave Orton in the role. Don't feel too bad for Orton, however. Dibiase didn't exactly win any Oscar Awards for his performance, and Orton would go on to star in another WWE Studios production-- 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded.
