10 Things You Didn't Know About Randy Orton

5. He Won The WWE Title Twice In One Night

Randy Orton can lay claim to something that nobody else on earth can-- he became the WWE champion twice in one day, within three hours, even. Just after John Cena crossed the year mark on his WWE title reign, he suffered a torn pectoral muscle, which was likely to keep him out of action for several months. With the WWE in an uncomfortable position, Vince McMahon had to think quick, and at No Mercy 2007, he awarded Randy Orton the vacant championship. Orton didn't get off the hook as easily as he planned, however, as Triple H immediately came to the ring and goaded Orton into a title match. Triple H would emerge victorious and become the new WWE champion, but was forced to defend the title against Orton in the night's main event. Orton would rise to the occasion and win the title, kicking off his second WWE championship reign, and also his second of the night.
