10 Things You Don’t Know About WWE In 1995

8. MTV Sports Filmed A Segment With The WWF Wrestlers

The WWF and MTV have had a long-standing relationship dating back to the Rock N Wrestling days of the 80s, all the way to Sunday Night Heat being shown on MTV in the late 90s and early 00s. One of the little-known aspects of the relationship involved Dan Cortese, of all people. Cortese hosted a show called MTV Sports in the early and mid-90s. The show focused mostly on X-games sports like snowboarding. In 1995, they did a piece on the WWF and its wrestlers. The segments were taped in San Bernardino, CA on March 4. 9955 Cortese was the cornerman of Diesel and Undertaker in the main event, as they defeated Bam Bam Bigelow and Jeff Jarrett, while Cortese made snide comments on the outside, including remarking on how Jeff Jarrett got pectoral implants. Cortese even had a couple of interactions with Paul Bearer on the outside.
