10 Things You Don’t Know About WWE In 1998

4. The Brawl For All Ended Brakkus€™s Career

Remember Brakkus? He was supposed to be the next Ludvig Borga (and we all know how that turned out). Brakkus was supposed to immediately be put in a program with Bret Hart in 1996, but management thankfully realized that Brakkus was green as grass, so they sent him to developmental and ECW to get some experience before being brought back to the main roster. Brakkus had wrestled a couple of matches before he was entered into the Brawl for All tournament. In the first round, he faced off against Savio Vega. Apparently, nobody fully explained the concept of Brawl for All to Brakkus, who thought that these were worked shoot fights. Savio didn€™t have as much of a problem with the rules, and fought Brakkus in a shoot fight. Brakkus sustained injuries to his shoulder and knee, as well as a broken nose, and never wrestled for the WWF again.
