10 Things Everybody Gets Wrong About Triple H's WWE

1. He Will Treat Cody Rhodes Badly

Triple H is a vindictive individual.

Look at who dared get over when, post-Attitude Era, it was his turn to be the man - which he took quite literally by cosplaying as JCP era Ric Flair with a charisma amputation. He was condescending, petty, defensive, and took several opportunities to make his opponents look bad. It took the guy 23 seconds to pin Booker T at WrestleMania XIX when, given the inflammatory storyline, the only correct finish was Book taking 0 seconds to get the three. Does he really know what's best for business?

He halted Daniel Bryan's momentum, and it was only reversed when the main event of WrestleMania XXX faced an unprecedented backlash.

All of which leads those on the cynical side of the culture war to forecast doom for Cody's prospects; after all, he symbolically broke Triple H's throne and even tweeted "I'm The Game now".

Here's the thing: the fact of the matter is, Cody used to work for AEW, as a massive star, and Triple H ideally wishes to recruit from AEW, several times over, in the medium-to-long-term. He knows that if he f*cks Cody over, he will do nothing but discourage everyone else from making the jump.

Cody is a very smart man. He knew this going in, and nothing has changed.
