10 Things John Cena Haters Should Stop Complaining About
2. Five Moves of Doom
In every John Cena match, there comes a moment in which Cena reverses his opponent's move and bounces off the ropes into a running shoulder tackle. The move is immediately met with a cacophony of boos. Another shoulder block continues the sequence of what fans have dubbed the 'Five Moves of Doom' - the centrepiece of Cena hate. Yet again, this is another example of Cena being subjected to criticisms that don't afflict many superstars. The repeated sequence of signature offensive moves is a hallmark of the top babyface that has been around for decades. Whether it's Hogan's 'Hulking Out' or Sheamus' build-up to the Brogue Kick, signature offense is certainly not exclusive to John Cena. Fans who come to WWE shows are there to see the moves that they recognise from the television, so it's perfectly normal for the top stars to put together a sequence of manoeuvres that they use to up the pace of a match as it nears a conclusion. There's no reason that John Cena deserves any more fan rage than anyone else.
