10 Things John Cena STILL Can’t Actually Do

1. Put. People. Over

Kevin Owens got the biggest pin of his WWE career at Elimination Chamber 2015, going over John Cena clean as a sheet. He lost to 'The Champ' in follow ups though, and settled into life as a WWE rank-and-file.

AJ Styles got the biggest pin of his WWE career at SummerSlam 2016, going over John Cena clean as a sheet. He lost his WWE Title to him at the following Royal Rumble in order for 'The Champ' to break a disputed reigns record and hold the gold for three weeks.

Kurt Angle got the biggest pin of his WWE return at Survivor Series 2017, going over John Cena clean as a sheet. He got pinned by up-and-comer Triple H, and all of this occurred after he dispatched Samoa Joe. Alright, nobody got over in this one. But the point bears repeating because the actions do too. 'Big Match John' hasn't helped anybody get up and stay up alongside him, even in the most transparent efforts against Roman Reigns last Autumn. And that's just when he tries.

Baron Corbin was the last victim of Cena blatantly not aiding his trajectory, and 'The Lone Wolf' never recovered. His required reset at the Raw constable can be directly retraced to his 2017 Cena-driven humbling. The future Hall-Of-Famer can - and should - do better, but still has it in him to choose not to.
