10 Things Lapsed Fans Think During WrestleMania Season
7. WWE Are Still Inflating WrestleMania III Attendance!?
WWE are making a lot of noise about the idea of cramming some 100,000 people into the AT&T Stadium for WrestleMania 32. If the promotion achieve this, it will be the largest crowd they have ever managed to squeeze into the one place for a major show. However, even if they manage to convince 90,000 to attend, it will still be the largest of all time for the McMahon-led juggernaut. This completely flies in the face of what WWE tell people about WrestleMania III. Back in 1987, the then-WWF packed in around 78,000 spectators to the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan to see Hulk Hogan face Andre The Giant. To this day, the company still tell the tale that there were actually over 93,000 at 'Mania to see that main event showdown. Several, including Dave Meltzer have claimed WWE's attendance figure to be false. As things progress closer to 'Mania 32, WWE will talk about the reported 93,000 figure a lot more, which will surprise long time fans. Those people will be shocked that WWE are still making the claim all these years on, even though it's been discredited by many industry critics.
